About Us

Essex Golf & Sportswear  is a family-owned business that occupies a prominent location on Main Street in the shoreline village of Old Saybrook, CT. Originally begun as a modest retail store in Essex, CT, we eventually outgrew our initial location and opened a new, much larger store in the heart of Old Saybrook's retail district, adjacent to Seaside Wines. We're open seven days a week in season, so stop in and check us out. Our Saybrook store consists of 7,000 sq. ft. of men's, women's and junior apparel, equipment, bags, shoes, balls, training aids, videos, golf accessories, books and gifts. We also have an indoor hitting area complete with the state-of-the-art Swing Analyzer and Launch Monitor for Computerized Custom Club Fitting. We also offer club repair and re-gripping.
